WooCommerce Dynamic Pricing & Discounts plugin. When you sell an item for a fixed price, WooCommerce doesn’t show any of the advantages of having a variable price.
But when you want to offer discounts or allow your customers to pay less by adding items to their cart, that’s where WooCommerce Dynamic Pricing & Discounts becomes very useful.
It offers your customers three options:
- Pay 10% more for this product
- Pay the same price as other products in this category (the default option if no other type is chosen)
- Get this product at its original price, and we’ll take 10% off their next purchase (only valid with WooCommerce Subscriptions and Recurring Payments Pro).
In this article, I’ll show you how to set up Dynamic Pricing & Discounts in WooCommerce.
Before starting, you should understand that Dynamic Pricing & Discounts are a very simple function using a conditional statement. You should submit your changes to the server before trying it out on your live site to avoid any errors.

Pros:
WooCommerce Dynamic Pricing & Discounts are very useful when you have limited time to gain sales, like during a seasonal sale.
Cons:
If your customers find out that you use Dynamic Pricing & Discounts, they can take advantage of this by buying big amounts of products, leaving them in the shopping cart without paying for them, and receiving discounts on top of their next order.
The original price that appears on the product page does not match the discounted price that ends up in your customers’ shopping carts.
It is not good to offer a high percentage discount because the product might have a negative value at checkout.
You can’t change the product’s original price using Dynamic Pricing & Discounts.
The product’s title might get truncated at checkout, so it would be better if you added a longer title.
In case you have any other plugin that changes the product’s price, your customers won’t be able to see both values at once because they appear in different tabs.
